Furmetrix is a gamified pet care app that puts health tracking first. Track your pet’s weight, vet visits, vaccinations, medications, and daily care tasks — all while earning XP, leveling up, and building streaks. Available for iPhone and iPad.

Yes! Furmetrix is free to download and use. Free users get full access to gamification, quests, weight tracking, vet visit logs, vaccination records, document storage, the Learn library, and up to 2 pet profiles. Furmetrix Plus unlocks AI-powered health features and unlimited pets.

Furmetrix supports dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, reptiles, horses, and other pets. The Learn library currently has in-depth content for dogs, cats, birds, fish, and reptiles, with more species coming soon.

On your first launch, you’ll create your first pet during onboarding. To add more, go to the Pets tab and tap the “+” button. Free users can have up to 2 pets. Upgrade to Furmetrix Plus for unlimited pets.

Yes! You can add or change your pet’s photo when creating or editing their profile. Photos are automatically compressed to save storage space while keeping good quality.

Tap on any pet in the Pets tab to open their profile, where you can edit their details or delete the profile. Deleting a pet permanently removes all associated data including quests, weight history, vet visits, vaccinations, and documents.

Complete daily quests to earn XP. Different quest types give different amounts: walks (100 XP), vet visits (150 XP), grooming (75 XP), medication (50 XP), custom tasks (30 XP), and feeding (25 XP). Accumulate XP to level up your pet.

Streaks track consecutive days you complete at least one quest. Build longer streaks to unlock achievements and earn milestone celebrations at 7 days, 30 days, 100 days, and 365 days.

Furmetrix has 24 achievements across five categories: Streaks, Quests, Care, Milestones, and Special. Achievements range from Common to Legendary rarity, each awarding bonus XP when unlocked.

Yes! Tap the “+” button on the Home tab to create a custom quest with your own title, frequency (once, daily, twice daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed), and reminder time.

Go to the Health tab and tap “Weight Log.” Enter the weight in pounds or kilograms, add optional notes, and save. View trends over time with the built-in chart.

Go to the Health tab and tap “Vet Visits.” You can log past visits and schedule upcoming ones with the vet’s name, clinic, reason, and follow-up dates. Enable reminders so you never miss an appointment.

Go to the Health tab and tap “Vaccinations.” Furmetrix includes common vaccine presets for dogs and cats with typical booster intervals. Track batch numbers, vet info, and get reminders when boosters are due.

Yes! The Health tab includes a Documents section where you can store vet records, prescriptions, lab results, X-rays, insurance documents, and registration papers.

Plus unlocks AI-powered health features: Symptom Checker, Breed Information, Medication Lookup, Vet Triage Guidance, Food Safety Checker, and Emergency Information. Plus subscribers also get unlimited pet profiles (free tier is limited to 2).

If you previously purchased Plus, go to the paywall screen and tap “Restore Purchases.” Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID.

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings (iPhone) > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Furmetrix > Cancel Subscription.

Our AI features use Google’s Gemini AI to provide evidence-based health information. However, AI responses are for informational purposes only and are NOT a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Always consult your vet for health concerns.

Plus subscribers get 50 AI queries per month. The counter resets on the first of each month.

Yes! When you sign in with Apple, your data automatically syncs across all your Apple devices using iCloud. Your data is stored in your private iCloud account.

Yes! During setup, choose “Continue without account” to use Furmetrix in local-only mode. Your data stays on your device only.

When you sign out of your Apple account within the app, local data is cleared for privacy. Sign back in to re-download your data from iCloud.

The Learn tab contains evidence-based pet care articles covering nutrition, health, behavior, and more. Currently available for dogs (15 topics), cats (15 topics), birds (12 topics), fish (15 topics), and reptiles (15 topics). Turtles, small mammals, and horses are coming soon.

Yes! The entire Learn library is free for all users. No subscription required.

Learn content is sourced from veterinary literature, professional guidelines (AAHA, WSAVA, AVMA), and peer-reviewed research. It’s written to be accessible for pet owners while maintaining evidence-based accuracy.

The first launch after install may take a moment as the database initializes. Subsequent launches should be fast. If slowness persists, try closing and reopening the app.

Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID. Go to Settings within the app and check your sync status. If you chose “Continue without account,” your data is stored locally only and won’t appear on other devices.
