Furmetrix Privacy Policy

At GP Creative Studios, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Furmetrix. We are committed to ensuring the security and confidentiality of your data.

Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID user identifier and, optionally, your name and email address.
• Pet data: Pet profiles, health records, weight logs, vet visits, vaccinations, quests, and achievements you create within the app.
• Usage data: We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve app performance and user experience.
• Device information: We may collect device identifiers and operating system information for troubleshooting and security purposes.
• We do NOT collect, store, or have access to your Apple ID password. Authentication is handled securely through Apple’s Sign in with Apple service.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Furmetrix service
• To sync your pet data across your devices via iCloud
• To provide AI-powered health features (symptom checker, breed info, food safety) through our secure server proxy
• To send important service updates and notifications
• To improve and optimize our app performance
• To respond to your support requests

AI-Powered Features

• Furmetrix Plus subscribers can access AI-powered health features including symptom checking, breed information, medication lookup, vet triage, and food safety checking.
• When you use these features, your pet’s species, breed, and your question are sent to our secure Cloudflare Worker proxy, which forwards the request to Google’s Gemini AI service.
• We do not store your AI queries or responses on our servers. Queries are processed in real-time and not retained.
• AI responses are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice.

Data Storage & Security

• All pet data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework.
• When iCloud sync is enabled, your data is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit service.
• We do not operate our own servers for data storage — your data lives on your device and in your personal iCloud account.
• All data transmission uses secure, encrypted connections (TLS/SSL).
• We do not have access to your iCloud data. Only you can access it through your Apple ID.

Your Rights

• Access: Your data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account — you always have direct access.
• Deletion: You can delete individual pets, health records, or all data from within the app. You can also delete your iCloud data through the app’s settings.
• Export: You can view and manage all your pet data directly within the app.
• Opt-out: You can use Furmetrix without signing in or enabling iCloud sync by choosing “Continue without account.”

Data Retention

• Your data is retained on your device for as long as the app is installed.
• iCloud data persists as long as your iCloud account is active and you don’t delete it.
• If you sign out of iCloud within the app, local data is cleared. You can re-download your data by signing back in.
• We do not retain any personal data on our own servers.

Third-Party Services

• We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We use Google’s Gemini AI (via Cloudflare Worker proxy) for AI-powered health features. Only the pet species, breed, and your question are transmitted — no personal identifying information.
• We use Apple’s CloudKit for data synchronization and Apple’s StoreKit for subscription management.
• We do not display ads in Furmetrix.

Children’s Privacy

• Furmetrix is suitable for users of all ages.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
• The app’s content is family-friendly and focused on pet health education.

Changes to This Policy

• We may update this privacy policy from time to time.
• We will notify you of any significant changes via in-app notification.
• Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
