Furmetrix Terms of Service

Welcome to Furmetrix. These Terms of Service govern your use of our mobile application. By using Furmetrix, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the app.

Agreement to Terms

• By downloading, installing, or using Furmetrix, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
• If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the application.
• These terms apply to all users of the app, including free and Plus subscribers.
• Your continued use of Furmetrix constitutes acceptance of any updates to these terms.

License to Use

• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Furmetrix for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our app or its content.
• You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
• This license does not give you any ownership rights in the app or its content.

User Accounts

• You may sign in with your Apple ID to enable iCloud sync and access your data across devices.
• You may also use Furmetrix without an account by choosing “Continue without account.”
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID credentials.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.

Subscriptions & Payments

• Furmetrix offers a Plus subscription with additional features including AI-powered health tools and unlimited pets.
• Subscriptions are available as monthly ($4.99/month) or yearly ($29.99/year) plans.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms and conditions.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

Free Tier Limitations

• Free users can create up to 2 pet profiles.
• Free users have access to core features including gamification, quests, weight tracking, vet visit logs, vaccination records, and the Learn library.
• AI-powered health features (symptom checker, breed info, medication lookup, vet triage, food safety, emergency info) require a Furmetrix Plus subscription.

User Data

• You retain ownership of all data you enter into Furmetrix, including pet profiles, health records, and documents.
• When iCloud sync is enabled, your data is stored in your private iCloud account.
• We do not access, sell, or share your personal data with third parties.
• You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data.

AI-Powered Health Features

• Furmetrix Plus includes AI-powered features such as a symptom checker, breed information, medication lookup, vet triage, food safety checker, and emergency information.
• These features are for informational and educational purposes only.
• AI-generated content is NOT a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Always consult a qualified veterinarian for your pet’s health concerns.
• We are not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated information provided by the app.
• AI feature availability is limited to 50 queries per month per account.

Educational Content

• The Learn library provides evidence-based pet care information for educational purposes.
• While we strive for accuracy, this content is not a substitute for professional veterinary guidance.
• Content may be updated or modified at any time without notice.

Prohibited Uses

• You may not use Furmetrix for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts.
• You may not use the app to transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code.
• You may not use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services.
• You may not use automated systems or software to extract data from the app.

Disclaimer

• Furmetrix is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
• Health information provided by the app, including AI-powered features and the Learn library, is for informational purposes only and is not veterinary advice.
• We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information provided by the app.

Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• We are not liable for any loss of data or any damages arising from your use of the app.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the past 12 months.
• Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

• We may terminate or suspend your access to the app immediately, without prior notice, for any reason.
• You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.
• Upon termination, your right to use the app will cease immediately.
• Provisions of these terms that should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to Terms

• We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time.
• We will notify you of material changes through the app or by other means.
• Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
• If you disagree with the changes, you must stop using the app.

Governing Law

• These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
• Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
• If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
